I’ve been watching Comedy Central a lot recently for one reason only; I love Friends!
I know what you are thinking, if I love it so much why don’t I get the DVDs, well I let me explain. I do have the DVDs, I have the box set and could watch anytime if I wanted to, but if I had to choose which episode I was going to watch by myself I would waste most of my time trying to decide which one was the best one to watch.
But Comedy Central does that for me! Every episode is great; so why not watch whichever one happens to be on TV at the time?
One of the episodes which was on the other day and may surprisingly to some be one of my favourites was “The One Where They’re Going to Party”! As usual lot happened in this episode, notably we are introduced (although we never actually see him) to the elusive Gandalf, Ross and Chandler’s friend from college, but the thing that amuses me the most is when Monica writes a list of things that Phoebe can do with her van after a job offer causes her to try to back out of their joint catering business venture. After pages and pages of suggestions Phoebe lets Monica take the job she has been offered exclaiming “it might be fun to form the new A-Team!”.
This always has me thinking though, what else COULD you do with a van? I mean Monica has pages and pages, surely there can’t be that many things you can do with a van? So I decided to have a think about it; it is harder than you might think but here are just a few of the ideas I managed to come up with:
My first thought for a van (especially on a sunny day like today) is to make it in to an ice cream van, but not to sell ice cream to people, just because a van full of ice cream would be amazing.
Another great idea would be to start a band and of course if my band is going to be successful we’ll be touring the UK and to do that we will need, yes you guessed it, a van!
Since I am basically a child I will make anything into a fort if given half the chance and I can’t think of anything much better than a fort on wheels.
Apart from maybe a mobile disco van, you’ve seen the party bus. Well people, say hello to the party van. Complete with disco ball and light up dance floor! What more could you want?
Well…finally, Phoebe’s preferred choice of forming the new A-Team was a good idea; however I think I have a better one. Getting a talking dog and turning my van into the Mystery Machine of course! Why is this better than being the new A-Team? Because quite simply, as awesome as Mr.T is he cannot compete with a talking dog!
So there you have it, it seems there are more things to do with a van than you would think, I guess the only thing for it now is for me to rent a van from Europcar, find a talking dog and start solving mysteries!
